Welcome to EDN Volleyball club

Our mission is to introduce and promote the sport, volleyball, to the Australian Defence Community in South Australia.  EDN volleyball club function is to provide training and competition for ADF personnel.
So if you have an interest or have a passion for volleyball, no matter what your skill level, we encourage you to give it a go.  It doesn’t matter whether your full time, part time or even an APS defence employee, all are welcome to join. It costs nothing to join the club but your time and commitment.

 Cost $15 per person. Minimum age 30

Training

Sunday evenings 6 – 8pm, cost approx $5.  Coach provided.
 The reason for not using the base gym is due to the floor surface at the base gym is concrete with Linoleum and results in long term damage to joints and the back.

After a very long day of playing in the hot sun the Defence Volleyball team came home with a bag full of medals. With James Green and Ben Herbert taking out first place in the men’s doubles, James Green and Ryani Duhigg winning Bronze and Ben Herbert and Ellen hill winning Silver in the mixed doubles. To top off the doubles competition Riyani Duhigg and Ellen Hill took silver for the girls doubles. Lastly but certainly not least was the triumphant mixed 4 a-side team of Grant Jones, Darren Mysko, Riyani Duhigg, Ellen Hill and Travis Day taking out the silver.

Talons (mixed indoor) - Silver
After a successful beach volleyball competition we were in good form heading into the indoor tournament. With a lot of height in the team, with 4 players over 6 foot we used it to our advantage and in the end after a long day of round robins and a massive five setter gold medal play off we took home the silver. The team consisted of Ben Herbert (Captain), James Green, Kirstie Gunn, Ellen Hill, Darren Mysko, John Nynycz , Cliff Pannell and Ben Lock.
