RAAF Edinburgh Touch Club aims to administer and develop the sport of touch at RAAF Edinburgh. The club conducts annual selection trials/competitions to select RAAF Edinburgh and South Australia Defence Touch representative and provides support to members selected to represent Southern State Defence Touch Association and Australian Defence Touch Association.

Competition

Two competitions are run throughout the year. Autumn season starts in February and runs to June. Spring season starts in July and finishes in November. Between seasons the club runs a 5 a side lightning competitions. There are also opportunities to participate in the annual trip to Victoria for the VIC Cup Challenge and to play in the Defence Nationals as part of Southern States, which are held in the later stages of each year.

Games are played during lunch from 1145 to 1220 hrs. During competition finials, the club offers free BBQ and drinks for all members


Membership

Team nominations are required 2-3 weeks before competition starts. Each team requires 6 players plus reserves. Normally a team should have 9 registered players.

All club membership shall be subject to the provisions of DI(G) ADMIN 12-13. Cost $10.00 per player for the season.


Facilities

Club competitions are held on RAAF Base Edinburgh touch fields. The club owns a shed for the storage of club equipment.


What to Bring

All you need to bring to play is a water bottle and an ability to learn the game and enjoyment with other members.
