The DSTO Vacation Care Program operates during all school holidays and cares for children aged 5-14 years. The program is run in building 14M&W and you can leave your children between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.30pm.

South Australian Police & Emergency Services (SAPES) Games 30 APR 10 - 09 MAY 10
An invitation is extended to you to compete in the sixth SAPES Games to be held in Adelaide from 30 April – 9 May 2010.
“Unity through Sport” is the catch-cry for this year's competition and will follow through to future Games. This epitomises sport in all the emergency service agencies that work together during the day and compete against each other at other times.
Regardless of age or ability, there is something there for everyone. Get a team together. Get on the track or in the pool. Just get out there and compete for your agency.
Fostering inter agency cooperation through healthy challenges, the SAPES Games offers you 34 fun filled sports and activity.

This is an opportunity for you and your mates to represent Defence or your unit at the games. It is open to Uniform (Air Force, Army & Navy) and Civilian (APS) defence members based in SA.
If you are intending to participate in a game or you need to find team mates drop SGT James Green an e-mail (james.green@defence.gov.au). There is no requirement to contact Defence representative however it will great to know what we are doing at the SAPES games. Of particular interest are the events in the Mike Bentley Inter-service Trophy.
Mike Bentley Inter-Services Trophy
The Inter-service trophy points will be accumulated on the following sports and events for 2010:
- Basketball
- Netball (mixed)
- Soccer (Contact FSGT Enrique Burnett (burnett.enrique@defence.gov.au))
- Volleyball (indoor) (e-mail james.green@defence.gov.au)
Every medal awarded in each event will attract points to the value of; gold - 5 points; silver - 3 points; and bronze - 1 point. Each team must consist entirely of members from the same agency to be allocated points. Each team must consist entirely of members from the same agency to be allocated points. The agency with the highest accumulated points for the four events will be the winner of the Mike Bentley Trophy which will be awarded at the SAPES Games Sports Presentation Evening.
An On-line Registration system has been developed for the Games to enable entry, registration and payment. This can be obtained by accessing the website at www.sapes.com.au. There is no hard copy registration for the SAPES Games. All entries are on-line only. Australian Defence Force personnel agency code is ADFP.
